On Tuesday, November 15 at 1:00 PM, California eHealth Collaborative presented Dr. Kiki Nocella, CEO at Believe Health. Dr. Nocella’s presentation was on rural HIE experiences from the field.
Prior to incorporating Believe Health, LLC, Dr. Nocella was the Vice Provost of Health Affairs for the University of California, Riverside. During that time, she was responsible for developing the vision, strategy, and business plan for what will be more than a 100 million dollar operation at full build out. Dr. Nocella worked with a variety of faculty, consultants, and community groups to develop a business plan and vision that ultimately was approved by the Regents of UC in July 2008. Additionally, Dr. Nocella has written and managed multi-million dollar grants, as Principal Investigator for each of the AHRQ HIT grants that built the East Kern County Integrated Technology Association. Dr. Nocella has turned around rural hospitals that were near bankruptcy, and has built and run a sixty physician primary care academic practice group. Dr. Nocella holds more than 17 years of quality improvement and HIT experience.
